PulteGroup Creates Florida Panhandle Division to Capture Regional Growth
PulteGroup is strengthening its presence in the Southeast by establishing a new division dedicated to the Florida Panhandle. The Atlanta-based homebuilder announced the move on Monday, signaling a strategic push into Northwest Florida as it seeks to leverage ongoing demand for new housing in the state.
To lead the new initiative, PulteGroup has appointed Taylor Larza as vice president and market manager. Larza brings significant experience to the role, having joined the company in 2016. His background includes procurement positions in Austin, Texas, and Jacksonville, Florida. Most recently, he served as the vice president of procurement for the Northeast Florida division.
Rich McCormick, PulteGroup’s Southeast area president, highlighted the company’s history in Florida as a driver for the expansion. He noted that the new division allows the builder to address the growth potential in the Panhandle region directly. Homebuyers in the area will eventually have access to the builder’s various brands, including Pulte Homes, Del Webb, and DiVosta.
This organizational expansion follows a previous agreement between PulteGroup and The St. Joe Company regarding land in the region. The contract secures 1,326 homesites across two Panhandle communities, with provisions that could eventually expand the total to 2,653 lots. According to the companies, development on the first phase is scheduled to commence in 2027.
Larza expressed enthusiasm for building the division from the ground up. He plans to work closely with the existing Northeast Florida team to maintain operational support while establishing the foundation for the new market. The launch of the Panhandle division marks PulteGroup’s second major regional expansion in less than a year, following its move into the Cincinnati market.
Currently, PulteGroup is trading at $128.34, up 1.53% for the day, with a market capitalization of approximately $24.45 billion. The company operates within the Consumer Cyclical sector, specifically in Residential Construction.
