Apparel brand Veronica Beard has committed to a larger footprint within Midtown South, renewing its presence at 26 West 17th Street while expanding its operations. The company, a tenant at the property since roughly 2013, has agreed to a new deal that adds 15,000 square feet to its offices, bringing its total headquarters space to approximately 60,000 square feet.
The expanded headquarters will span the second and third floors, extending through the fifth to eighth floors of the 12-story building. Located two blocks west of Union Square, the property is owned by Winter Organization. Specific financial details regarding the lease rate and term were not disclosed. However, market data provided by Colliers indicates that the average asking rent for office space in Midtown South stood at $79.41 per square foot during the second quarter of 2026.
CBRE Group, Inc. represented the ownership in the transaction, with Vice Chairman David Stockel and Taylor Walker leading the negotiations for the landlord. Stockel noted that the decision to renew and expand demonstrates confidence in the location and highlights demand from established tenants for office environments that support collaboration and culture.
On the tenant side, Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated advised Veronica Beard. TJ Hochanadel and Robert Martin managed the lease for the retailer. Robert Martin stated that aligning the brand’s real estate strategy with its business growth necessitated a sustainable long-term solution as the company continued to scale.
26 West 17th Street, originally constructed in 1907, hosts a variety of commercial tenants. In addition to Veronica Beard, the office building counts wholesale marketplace Faire and energy solutions provider Scale Microgrids as occupants. Veronica Beard, led by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, also maintains retail presence in the city with locations on Grand Street in SoHo and Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side.
