Rocket Pro Boosts Incentives for Brokers Amid Persistent Market Slump
Rocket Pro, the wholesale lending division of Rocket Companies, Inc., has unveiled its latest “Power Play” initiative, enhancing financial credits designed to assist brokers navigating a challenging housing market. Announced on the first Tuesday of the month, this marks the fifth iteration of the program, which features expanded incentives for both refinancing and home purchase transactions.
The most significant adjustment in August’s announcement is an increase in the refinance credit to 60 basis points. Previously, this incentive was capped at 40 basis points and was limited strictly to cash-out refinances; the updated policy now applies the credit to all refinance products. Additionally, Rocket Pro chose to maintain its existing 60-basis point credit for purchase loans.
Continuing its collaborative strategy, the lender is extending a 40-basis point credit specific to transactions involving Compass, Inc.. According to Cory Scholl, executive vice president of Rocket Pro, the partnership credit has driven substantial engagement, helping brokers forge new relationships with Compass agents while strengthening existing ones.
Market observers note that these moves come as the broader mortgage sector contends with reduced volume due to rate volatility. As of the latest market session, Rocket Companies, Inc. shares were trading at $14.18, reflecting a 3.69% increase. Meanwhile, Compass, Inc. saw its stock rise 4.69% to $12.11.
Beyond pricing adjustments, Rocket Pro has opened community voting for its “Big Pitch” contest. The competition solicited technology tool concepts from brokers nationwide, resulting in over 350 submissions. Voting for the top three finalists is now open and is set to conclude on September 1 during the Rocket Pro Experience (RPX) annual conference.
