Lennar Opens The Farm, a New Inland Empire Community Built Around Outdoor Living

Lennar Opens The Farm, a New Inland Empire Community Built Around Outdoor Living

Homebuilder Lennar Corporation has introduced The Farm, a new master-planned community in Southern California’s Inland Empire that the company says is designed around the region’s outdoor-oriented lifestyle.

The announcement adds to Lennar’s footprint in one of the nation’s most active new-home markets. The Inland Empire — spanning Riverside and San Bernardino counties — has been a key growth corridor for large builders, drawing buyers priced out of coastal markets who are seeking newer construction at comparatively lower price points.

Details released about The Farm emphasize amenities and design intended to connect residents with open space, a positioning consistent with Lennar’s recent community launches across the western United States. The Miami-based builder, which operates segments spanning homebuilding across multiple regions as well as financial services, multifamily, and lending, has favored high-volume community openings in supply-constrained California markets.

On the market, shares of Lennar traded at $80.07, down 0.18% from the previous close of $80.2141, giving the company a market capitalization of roughly $19.3 billion. Lennar is classified in the residential construction industry within the consumer cyclical sector.

The Inland Empire launch comes as homebuilders nationally continue to navigate elevated mortgage rates and affordability pressures, with many leaning on incentives and smaller floor plans to sustain demand. New community openings remain a key metric investors track, since they signal where builders expect future delivery growth — and in California, land position is often a competitive advantage given the state’s restrictive entitlement environment.

For the Inland Empire specifically, continued population inflows and logistics-sector employment have supported housing demand even as affordability has tightened across Southern California. Builders including Lennar have expanded in the corridor to capture buyers relocating inland from Los Angeles and Orange counties.

What to watch

  • Details on pricing, home sizes, and unit counts at The Farm as those become available.
  • Mortgage-rate trends and incentive levels, which continue to shape new-home demand in Southern California.
  • Further community announcements from Lennar in the Inland Empire as it manages land inventory.
