D.R. Horton Sets October 29 Date for Fiscal Fourth-Quarter Release

D.R. Horton, Inc. has scheduled its fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 earnings report for October 29, giving investors a fixed date on the calendar for the homebuilding giant’s full-year results.

The announcement comes as shares of the Arlington, Texas-based builder trade under pressure. DHI stock closed at $135.57 in recent trading, down 2.42% from the prior close of $138.93, valuing the company at roughly $39.9 billion. The stock’s movement reflects the broader sensitivities in the residential construction sector, where builders have been navigating shifting mortgage-rate conditions and evolving buyer demand across regional markets.

As the largest U.S. homebuilder by volume, D.R. Horton operates across six reporting regions — East, North, Southeast, South Central, Southwest, and Northwest — and constructs and sells residential homes in 126 markets spanning 36 states. Its quarterly updates are widely watched as a barometer for the broader housing market, given the company’s scale in land acquisition, development, and entry-level home construction.

The October 29 report will close out the company’s fiscal year 2026, which ends September 30. Typically, the builder’s year-end release covers results for the July–September quarter — historically one of its strongest delivery periods — along with full-year revenue, closings, orders, and outlook commentary that often frames expectations for the homebuilding sector heading into the new fiscal year.

Market participants will be looking at the usual barometers in the release: net sales orders, cancellation rates, average selling prices, gross margins, and inventory levels, as well as any commentary on incentives and affordability conditions that have shaped builder results in recent quarters.

What to watch

  • Fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 results, due October 29
  • Net sales orders, closings, and cancellation trends for the September quarter
  • Gross margin performance and the level of sales incentives
  • Management’s initial guidance for fiscal year 2027
  • Share repurchase or capital return updates, if any, alongside the results
