Jersey Shore Broker Teresa Minnick Reflects on $800 Million Career, Asbury Park Revival
Teresa Minnick, a veteran broker with Christie’s International Real Estate Group, has spent more than 25 years building one of the most active residential practices along the New Jersey coast, with career sales exceeding $800 million, according to a recent interview series profiling top brokers.
Minnick’s work has centered on the Jersey Shore, a market she cites for its history, architecture, and oceanfront housing stock. Among her most prominent projects: the Atlantic Club Residences in Long Branch, a 132-unit luxury oceanfront development with roughly $200 million in sales to date, where she has been involved from the pre-construction phase onward.
She also points to her role in Asbury Park’s transformation during and after the housing crash, working with investors who bet on the coastal city’s recovery well before it became a widely recognized comeback story. She credits early mentors — including Al Garfall, previously of SGS Communities and D.R. Horton and now with Lennar — with shaping her approach to sales and long-horizon vision in real estate.
Both homebuilders referenced in her career story have been quietly positive in Thursday trading. D.R. Horton shares changed hands at $138.93, up 0.32% from a previous close of $138.49, valuing the residential construction giant at approximately $39.9 billion. Lennar traded at $80.76, a fractional 0.04% gain over its prior close of $80.73, with a market capitalization near $20.1 billion.
Minnick, who also cited the Beaux Arts–era Asbury Park Convention Hall complex designed by Warren & Wetmore as a favorite among landmarks, is among the brokers featured in an ongoing question-and-answer series by Commercial Observer focused on residential brokerage professionals.
Her profile underscores the ongoing strength of the Shore luxury market, where large-scale condo developments and revitalized beach towns have drawn sustained buyer interest since the post-2008 recovery.
What to watch
