Fifth Third Bank Grows Rockefeller Center Offices to More Than 32,000 Square Feet
Fifth Third Bank has broadened its New York headquarters presence at Tishman Speyer’s 50 Rockefeller Plaza, adding approximately 11,000 square feet to reach a total of 32,347 square feet in the Midtown landmark building, according to the landlord.
The expansion runs through the bank’s existing lease term, which is set to expire in February 2034. The lender first signed on at the 16-story property in 2022, and the growth reflects its deepening commitment to the Rockefeller Center campus.
Tishman Speyer did not disclose the asking rent for the space. For context, the average asking rent for Midtown office space reached $86.18 per square foot in the second quarter of 2026, according to a CBRE report.
“Rockefeller Center has been an exceptional home for our team, and expanding our footprint here was a natural next step,” Joshua Landau, head of corporate client banking at Fifth Third Bank, said in a statement, adding that the location supports recruiting and client engagement.
Blythe Kinsler of Tishman Speyer handled the lease negotiations in-house, while a CBRE team comprising Joe Cabrera, Kevin Torch and Michael Ciotta represented the tenant. CBRE did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
EB Kelly, who leads Rockefeller Center for Tishman Speyer, described the deal as “a strong endorsement of the workplace experience we continue to build across the Rockefeller Center campus.”
Other tenants at the property include investment manager Republic Capital Group, which leased 2,800 square feet in 2023, and accounting firm Citrin Cooperman, which signed for 110,742 square feet in 2019. It remains unclear whether Citrin Cooperman’s footprint at the building has shifted since the pandemic.
The deal adds to a steady drumbeat of leasing activity at Rockefeller Center, where Tishman Speyer has worked to position the campus as a premier destination for financial and professional services tenants as New York’s office market has stabilized.
