Brokerage Talent Moves: Stream Adds Investment Manager as CBRE and JLL Expand Leadership Ranks

A trio of hiring announcements highlights continued competition for talent among commercial real estate services firms, with Stream Realty Partners, CBRE Group, and Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) each adding to their teams in different areas of the business.

Stream Realty Partners, the Texas-based commercial real estate firm, has brought on a new investment manager, deepening its investment management capabilities as the company continues to expand its platform across property types.

Meanwhile, CBRE has strengthened its mid-Atlantic operations with new team additions. The move reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in regional coverage across its Advisory Services, Building Operations and Experience, Project Management, and Real Estate Investments segments, which span the United States, the United Kingdom, and international markets.

Separately, JLL has hired a new consulting executive for its Americas business, adding senior leadership as the company pursues advisory work across office, industrial, hotel, multifamily, retail, and data center properties throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.

The announcements come as the largest publicly traded real estate services firms navigate a shifting commercial property landscape, where demand for advisory, capital markets, and workplace consulting expertise remains a key differentiator. Talent recruitment has been a recurring theme in the sector as firms position themselves for recovery in transaction volumes and growing services demand.

Shares of both public companies traded modestly lower on the day. CBRE shares were down about 1.25% to $139.14 from a previous close of $140.90, valuing the company at roughly $40.5 billion. JLL shares slipped about 0.9% to $340.58 from a prior close of $343.66, putting its market capitalization at approximately $15.8 billion.

What to watch

  • Both firms’ upcoming quarterly earnings reports, which will show how services and advisory revenue lines are tracking.
  • Any follow-on announcements from Stream about the scope of its investment management platform.
  • Further regional team expansions by CBRE and JLL as they compete for transaction and consulting mandates.
